OrderIn his artistic practice, Paul Hutchinson explores the dynamics of social processes in urban space. In both his photographic work and his writing, he employs a distinctive tone that draws on elements of inner-city culture while addressing issues of class, questioning power structures, and exploring the self in the context of society. Oscillating between poetry and political statement, his work functions both as a commentary on external circumstances and as a translation of an inner world.
Since 2017, the use of his own texts has been an integral part of Hutchinson’s practice. Through various activities—such as sound installations, collages, and performative readings—he expands traditional forms of engagement with language and image, using both media to create a nuanced portrait of contemporary life.
