Kasia Fudakowski's (*1985) objects and installations are peppered with irony, but go far beyond a mere humorous gesture. Her often creaturely objects reveal themselves as commentators on social patterns, such as the image of women shaped by a traditional understanding of gender or the symbol-laden design principles of the real estate world. The depiction of a light and a dark hand plays with similarly stereotypical black-and-white thinking. The art form of the mobile, the inherent twisting and turning, underlines the potentiality of touching each other at the moment of handing over the key - being connected does not necessarily mean feeling connected.
