Garden Salon at Kunstverein Braunschweig
Students of the HBK cordially invite you to the Garden Salon at the Kunstverein Braunschweig on Saturday, May 28, 2022, from 14-18h. The Garden Salon provides a public forum to engage in dialogue with works in the current exhibition "VILLA ROMANA Fellows 2019/2020/2021". The current exhibition, "VILLA ROMANA Fellows 2019/2020/2021," presents the past three cohorts of Villa Romana Fellows of 2019, 2020, and 2021. Over the past few weeks, students in the project seminar "Trans-Mediterranean Dialogues" have developed a variety of outreach opportunities and activities adapted to the exhibition for all ages.
The Garden Salon begins with an introduction and welcome at 2pm. A discursive group tour approaching the different thematic areas negotiated in the exhibition will begin at 2.30pm.At 3.30pm, visitors will have the opportunity to approach the practice of the collective KAYA in an unconventional artistic process in an interactive, cooperative workshop called "Mitmach Malaktion".
In addition, small interventions will take place throughout the day in the individual spaces so that visitors* can engage with the works of Lydia Hamann+ Kaj Osteroth, Alice Peragine and Rajkamal Kahlon, among others.
Within the framework of the garden salon, the visitors can become active themselves and get a different perspective on one or the other work by painting, writing and imagining. Small tasks await the visitors, which are intended to stimulate them to discover the artistic works with various sensory and thought exercises and also to be creative themselves.
In addition, students will be available as "student speakers" during the Garden Salon and will be happy to answer questions about the artworks.
The educational activities are all open to the public free of charge, entrance fee in addition.
